Re: SolusProto vs SolusArt for Functional Accessories

Hey Emil,

They both sound they could work for me but any idea which shrinks less? I don't want to deal with scaling the prints if possible.

Thanks,
Rob

SolusProto vs SolusArt for Functional Accessories

Hi, I'd like to print some functional accessories for my fountain pens and other frequently used items and was wondering which resin would be best for such tasks. 1- Which shrinks less? 2- Which is more brittle? 3- Is it possible to make a mold of the SolusArt if used for jewelry prototyping as well...

Re: B9 Emerald Castable Resin Testing

Are you guys having good success casting the prints from the Solus and what is the best castable resin? PhenQ | https://phenq-reviews.com The new emerald resin seems the easiest to print and also casts well. This is not the public place where not the casting and mandatory involve Huh? http://transl...

NYC casters are PITA when it comes to casting. /quote]

HA! I'm in the same boat as you are. I don't want to bad mouth certain casters publicly so PM me and we'll compare notes!

Are you microwaving it as well as UV curing it?

Re: Solus Wax not sticking to build plate

thanks, I'll give that a go. I had some luck yesterday by scratching the build plate with emery paper and then using the lattice support Yep, I was going to suggest that. I read it when setting up my Solus the first time and THANKFULLY, I've never had my prints fall off the plate. I don't use the S...

Re: B9 Yellow Castable Resin Testing

Has this resin been proven reliable in the Solus these days? I remember in the beginning people were complaining about it sticking to the film, etc. It seems like this stuff is more cast-friendly than the Emerald or even the Cherry. Am I thinking in the right direction? Hi, Did you had a chance to ...

Re: Drop in intensity on infocus projector

If you hear too much noises while printing, try lowering the z-lift speed when printing large pieces like that. b9 resins (especially yellow and emerald) are really sticky.

No. It seems to be hard plastic, similar to B9's Red resin if you're familiar with it.

Re: ResinWorks EasyCastHD castable resin

Not sticky at all. It's a really good resin. I suggest printing at 42xy build area with it for best results. Haven't had a single bad print or bad casting. It's miles better than the emerald and easier to post cure. Just cure in water for 30min - 1 hour under UV. Or for better results in glycerin o...
