Re: best castable resin
was just curious to if there was a better resin, since a few have come out since the Emerald, I've ordered another bottle and am going to order some samples of the new ones to try out when I have some downtime on the printer,

Re: best castable resin
Cheers Messerbr, this is what I was thinking of doing as on my last 40ml of B9 since I killed the new bottle this morning, I’m intrigued about the EasyCast, last time I had problems and was on the forum the SolusCast was just coming out so hadn’t seen anything about SolusWax or EasyCast, which set-u...

best castable resin
I've been using B9 Emerald resin since it came out just as I got my printer, I need to order a new bottle of resin as I've almost definitely ruined my new bottle :( but wondered if it's worth switching to one of the castable Solus resins or stick with what I know? I will have to send a test print to...

Help! I messed up
Hey Everyone, Been running smoothly on my printer since I got the hang of it with very few failed prints, I just opened a new bottle of B9 Emerald and had transferred it into a bigger round bottle for easier mixing, I figured I'd pour the end of my previous bottle into the new one as there was only ...

Re: B9 Emerald Castable Resin Testing
Found a handy trick if you snap a resin after its cured then you can superglue it back together, used to do it with my milled waxes and they always cast fine,

Re: Curing Unit
This is my solution to curing with the Emerald resin, 2 upended nail curing units with the bottom plates removed, the clear plastic top from the solar turntable (it never worked) with the reflective metal underneath from one of the bases, I was then made a little stand for them to sit in as the “bot...

Re: Cure Crazy
if I clean my prints in my ultrasonic with dish soap after I rinse in alcohol will I still need to let them sit or will they be fine to go into water to cure? Also is it just plain tap water?

Re: Auto Supports and Manual Supports now in Contour!
I have remade the files on my CAD PC and I dropbox them across, the largest file is 3.06mb, I have 4gb Ram and over 400gb of space left as I put the bare minimum on that laptop, @Jewelermdt, I'm printing 6mm weds in 25xy so hence why I can only just fit 5, I do have 3mm weds which I could fit more o...

Re: Auto Supports and Manual Supports now in Contour!
tried the update last week and it worked great, but came to use it today to print multiple rings and it just keeps crashing whilst I’m checking the slices, have restarted the software and my comp a few times now and tried reopening the single files and supporting them again and saving as a solus fil...

Re: Any idea why these keep failing?
Yes my PC shows all slices in blue and they are always squished, but I just figured it was because it's not connected to the printer and projector, I haven’t noticed it on the laptop before, but I hadn’t looked at every layer like an idiot trying to save time, I’m guessing its happened on all rings ...
