Re: removal of rings from build plate ??

I put a drops of Denature alcohol where the plate and base layers meet and then pull up a little.
Once a little pulls up I then put another drop of denature alcohol and from then on it just peels very easily without snaping.
It works very well

Just don't put Denature Alcohol on the model.

Re: Graphite crucible breaking down quickly

"I bought a small one to try to make metal shot from my scrap silver and after the first time I fired it with a torch, it started to disintegrate."

Looks normal to me.
They are "not" meant to be used with a torch.

Re: prints just started failing

Ted Broadside
Something similar happed to me and found out that the low temperature in the room kept the resin from curing.
How is the temperature in the room where you have the printer?

Weather is getting colder.
Just a thought.

Re: Grid calibration help

Cooool.
It is a no brainer.
It is nice that it can be adjusted on the computer screen and not have to look at the small projected grid on the printer.
Awesome Emil.

Re: Teardrop pendant warped

Ted Broadside,
I see that your supports are in a straight line.
See about putting them in zigzag position.
That should get you more stability.

No expansion? That is good to know.
I must have missed it but why was it not mentioned about the product?
Thanks

Re: Casting SolusCast

KennyB
Yes the Solus UV cure box works best for this resin.
I received a 2hr cured sample from Emil and compared it to my 2hr cure and mine needed more curing.
Hope your boss gets you one soon.

Re: SolusCast Turbo "awesome"

Storen I don't think the resin can take quick thermal change at the beginning because my first print cracked when I put it under the lizard light so I decided to just cure with no pressure. I've heard about using boric acid and people have gotten good results. I will do that next time I cast resin.
