Re: Printing and supports

Thanks for all the advice. I'm now using the easycast resin and seem to be getting better results

Re: Printing and supports

It's 100% SolusWax unless the labels have been mixed up in production.

Re: Printing and supports

Support tips were 0.3...I've now just made them 0.4 and I've increased the exposure slightly

the resin I'm using at the moment is SolusWax, although I've also just received a sample bottle of Resinworks easycast so will give that a go soon.

Printing and supports

Hi, Can anyone advise me how to print these 2 models successfully please? I've tried printing straight up and at an angle...I've tried auto supports and I've tried manual supports but still no luck. Film is also fairly new so I'm guessing its not that?? I've not got much hair left to tear out so any...

Re: solus wax burnout

I've just ordered myself a sample bottle, thanks. Don't you get ash left in the flask using the emerald resin? I used to use that and I would constantly get pitted castings from (I presume) ash left in the flask, that's why I tried the Soluswax, but I'm still having a few problems with that.

Re: Solus Wax not sticking to build plate

thanks, I'll give that a go. I had some luck yesterday by scratching the build plate with emery paper and then using the lattice support

Re: solus wax burnout

Messerbr,

Can you tell me when you put the flask into the kiln when ramping up to 1450? as soon as the kiln is turned on or when it reaches that temperature?

Solus Wax not sticking to build plate

Hi all,

Can anyone suggest anything to get the print to adhere to the build plate. I've been using the Gel from Jordi but have now run out. Surely there must be another way to make the prints stick???

Re: Drop in intensity on infocus projector

Just a quick update, I had to purchase a new projector and as the infocus isn't made anymore, I went for a Vivetek 1188. still couldn't get this to print either, even after setting the projector up with the correct settings, so after pulling all my hair out, I tried, on Jordi's advice, to print with...

Drop in intensity on infocus projector

Hello all, Been having problems printing. I've an Infocus 8606HD projector and I've changed the lamp for an original infocus one, I've changed the film on the resin tank, I've changed the tilt motor in the printer, I've gone through the different exposure settings and still my prints are failing. Ma...
