Re: Introducing the SolusCast resin

As I posted yesterday this is our first cast with the Solus Cast Resin. Followed the curing and casting directions to the T that came with the resin. Sorry no raw cast images but as you can see its a very clean casting. More in the oven today hoping for similar results.

Re: Moldable Resin from Asiga

Apparently no one has tried the Grey resin from Asiga. I have never tried to developing settings for a resin, is it an extremely challenging process? Can you try some of the existing settings in the solus and tweek those based on the trial results?

Re: Casting Emerald Wax Problems

I am posting to my own post not sure if this is the right way to go about this. Just did another small batch of casting with similar issues. I followed Mark's Resin preparation process to the T. Here are a few other particulars I was wondering that could have some bearing on my results: I did the mi...

Re: Success curing and casting Emerald green resin

I spoke with Mark Miller---MY HERO!- Gave me some Direction and told me what he did to have the great success that he has. My procedure varies just a litt...

Re: Casting Emerald Wax Problems

If you do not see any surface defects in the print after that long IPA bath and UV cure, I'd think there is something else going on. Assuming your metal and flask are at the right temperatures and you devest the flasks appropriately , looking at some the photos, you have probably ash or some other ...

Casting Emerald Wax Problems

I am a new Solus printer user. I am trying to have some success with cast the B9 Emerald resin. These casting pics are my most recent attempt. I am using the following procedure to prepare the resins for cast: 1) 3 different Alcohol Baths (the first 2 I left the resins in the alcohol for at least an...

Molding Solus Proto Resin

Has anyone tried to Hot Rubber Mold the Proto Resin? If so would you mind sharing which rubber worked well? I found some info on someone molding the Emerald Resin from B9 some time back with Cataldo Pink but can't seem to find that info any where.
