Re: Printing and supports

All I can say is I'm have great results with printing. Casting is about 80% good. Most due to not having a full cure.

Re: Back using my solus after more than a year

What are you asking? For the price the Solus is a great printer. Maybe a little time to dial it in, but I think most printers in this range need a little adjusting. But Mainly due to the resins used. Like most resins the better the cure, better the casting is. I have had good casting with less cure ...

Re: Printing and supports

With Solus Wax you might have to use .6 tips. Also make the support thickness 1.5 to 2. Only if I have some real fine detail will I use .4. Been getting great prints with those settings.

Re: Solus Wax not sticking to build plate

Io have great success with just smearing the Solus Wax resin on the build plate and letting it set while I set up my print in Contour.

Re: I can print in slice preview mode ?

Slice preview has nothing to do with how the layers print. That's in the options section. Preview lets you look for parts of the model that need support.

Re: Back using my solus after more than a year

I have had good results whit the Solus Wax Cast resin. Best results if I cure it 45 min to 1 hour. Using Prestige Optima investment. There is a distributor over there I believe. Jordi

Re: Resina pegada al vidrio de la impresora

Just use alcohol and a lint free cloth to get off. Keep cleaning till you get it all off. Replace your film.

Solo usa alcohol y un paño que no suelte pelusa para bajarte. Sigue limpiando hasta que te quites todo. Reemplace su película.

Re: Casting advice needed

Is that suppose to be one ring or single rings. The small opening between are causing problems. Investment breaking off. Tree is wrong. If they are separate rings, need more spacing between and feeder to each one.

Re: Shifting layers at top of finger rail

In both rings it looks like the line is before the design juts out a little. I would put supports to the outside edge from 10 O'clock to 2 O'clock and see if that helps. Plus use .4 to .6 points on support tips.

Re: Timeout when turning projector on

Do you get that when going to print after setting supports up? I get that same as you. If I cancel the print and get back to support window then start print again, it does fine. Only on rare occasion do I need to restart contour.
