Re: Solus Wax Resin
Unfortunately, because you tried to post-process cure the resin and it wasn't designed to be UV cured after the print, the properties of the resin have been altered. The condition of the resin cracked and not in good shape as well as the property change of the resin due to UV post curing results in ...

Re: Tools of the Trade
I usually have never had any issues with mixing the ProtoResin, but I have with other resins. I don't like that the ProtoResin is not in a round bottle though, but that is easy enough to fix. I do store my resin in 1L and 500mL round bottles because I use a couple cheap hot dog rollers to keep the b...

Re: Solus Wax Resin
We actually only recommend warming up the resin bottle when you pour out of it. Warm it up, shake well, and then pour. The reason for this is that the wax can settle on the bottom of the bottle and just mixing it may not be enough. When the resin is in the tank already, it just needs to be mixed we...

Re: Filter System for Room?
It does depend on the air purifier. Decent ones usually have 3 filters, a Pre-Filter which is for bacteria, pet dander, mold, fungus, larger particles. Then you have a HEPA filter that deals with dust, mites, large particles, pollen, and toxins. Then you have the Activated Carbon filter which is use...

Filter System for Room?
I have a couple printers that have their own enclosures for ABS printing. However now the workshop has DLP and SLA resin printers, we also have the alcohol fumes when cleaning prints and occasional painted primed miniatures drying in the room. The door tends to stay closed so the Dog doesn't get int...

Re: New Aluminum Resin Tank
One thing I found was that the height made it a bit difficult to pour the resin out for straining. Also stirring resin often caused some to come up over the edge. Are you straining resin as you pour into the VAT or are you talking about pouring resin from the VAT for straining? I don't strain into ...

Re: How to replace film in vat..
I do not have that clear plastic shim that is clear to lay on the projection quartz. It is used as a shim between the quartz and the vat.....then you tighten up the screws. What can I use in place of this that might work just as good? You do not need that. You can use this method to replace the fil...

Re: Projector cannot shut down automatically after finished printing!
If you aren't having a driver or an issue with the cable or adapter. In Solus Contour under Edit -> Preferences, there is an option to bypass the "Disable projector power controls". If that is checked, it seems then projector wouldn't automatically power off.

Re: Projector cannot shut down automatically after finished printing!
And you are positive you put a "check" in the "automatic shutdown" option each time you start a print?
