Re: Round Disks Print Oval
That seemed to have solved the issue, no more ovals shaped circles! Thanks!

Re: ResinWorks EasyCastHD castable resin
I've only cast with it once so far in sterling as a test, but the pieces came out way better than what I got from the MJ Waxcast. Used Kerr Satin Cast 20 and did the quick ramp up in the kiln with button side up after an hour at 300 to melt out the sprue wax with the button side down. Still trying t...

Re: Round Disks Print Oval
Thanks, I will give that a go! Is there a tutorial on how to compensate for the stretch I'm seeing or is it a trial and error thing of lowering the numbers one at a time? Any idea what causes this in the first place?

Round Disks Print Oval
I’m having trouble with disk designs printing elongated and coming out oval. I spent some time searching on the forum for answers and tried several suggestions, but am still having the same issues. I made sure the projector legs were screwed down completely, checked that the counter it sits on is le...

Re: ResinWorks EasyCastHD castable resin
Right. I was thinking melt only the wax sprues out first in an oven, then put the flask in the kiln with button side up to vacate the resin. You wouldn't have to worry about wax spraying out the top or catching fire if it was gone, like what Rkundla was mentioning. My concern is if there was any rea...

Re: ResinWorks EasyCastHD castable resin
I think that is very similar to the burnout recommended for Prestige Optima investment. The only thing I don't like about it is you can't effectively drain the sprue wax out using lower temperatures because it will catch fire in the kiln at high temps. If you try to flip the button upwards, wax sho...

Re: ResinWorks EasyCastHD castable resin
I like that fast ramp schedule! Thanks, I'll have to try both of those.

Re: ResinWorks EasyCastHD castable resin
What is the burnout schedule for this resin? I can't find the info on their site and none came with the sample I got from them. I haven't used Emerald resin, so I don't have that to model a schedule after.

Re: Goopy Print?!
I didn't run this print through any checks, but I did print it successfully in the prototype resin prior. I'm using Rhino 5 and haven't looked into any mesh checking features it might have. I did tilt the models slightly the next time I tried printing and failed, so I'm good there. I'll have to try ...

Re: Goopy Print?!
Okay, I don't think I had the beta version, just the version that was available for downloading when I got my printer last month. I see the settings now and tried to print with them today, which wasn't successful. My support tube size was 1.2m, but the tips were at .3. I used the ring supports for t...
