Ah, so did you just use epoxy or something to mount the additional components?

Re: Rinse Out Resin (ROR) ?????
Hmmm... how do I explain it.... The resin is two part. The clear resin and a dye, with I assume some sort of UV blocker in it. Try to expose the clear resin by itself, it is very fast, very messy and very sticky. Extremely caustic to some types of acrylic. Add dye to try to slow it down. Still very ...

Re: boolean union
I've always thought that RhinoGold is still doing a boolean union on the meshes and it can fail during mesh boolean (happened last night with some supports).

Re: Hybrid Resin Blend (WaxCast and Emerald)
Considering that there are water soluble additives in WaxCast, I would not cure in water. ;) Yet there are no concerns about the water in the liquid investment mixture reacting with the WaxCast print? Is the resin hydrophilic when cured or is it only a problem when exposed to UV light at the same t...

Re: MakerJuice WaxCast Resin
UV only. If you heat cure it above 140F, it will melt/ooze. When UV curing, is the resin stable if cured under water? (this may have been answered already based on a later post) Also, is there a point in time during the UV cure where there can be 'too much' UV which causes damage to the exterior su...

Re: hollow channel
From a general printing perspective and not just the Solus, I would say that exposure and focus are primary factors. Setting the exposure right for the negative feature (the channels) may prevent you from printing the positive feature (the pins) correctly. It's a game of give and take. What would be...

Re: Basic Support Structures Tutorials
What casting method are you planning to use? Vacuum or centrifugal?
This one can be a little tough. It depends on how solid the model is. Based on the images you posted, you probably will need multiple feeds into the item. I think the two circular rings are good candidates for primary feed points.

Re: Coat of Arm signet finished
That came out beautifully. Excuse my ignorance, but how is stippling done? You can do it by hand with a sharpened carbide tool or a diamond tipped tool and just 'punch' the surface, which will take a while. If you have an air-driven graver like the GraverMax or others, you can use the hammer motion...
