Re: SolusCast Turbo "awesome"
Storen Don't know the specifics of the "Firefly" curing unit and It is used for curing resin. I got it from Stuller. If I didn't have the Firefly I would use Solus Box unit that is specific for curing this resin. The "lizard" light you can get it from any pet store. It is used fo...

Re: SolusCast Turbo "awesome"
Just wanted to share my experience with SolusCast. PRINTING: Printing at 25xy, 30z I noticed that with the default settings I was getting overexposure. I brought the exposure time from 2.2 to .7 seconds per layer. Prints that were taking 3 hrs with Emerald are now taking 1.5 hrs. The other thing tha...

Re: MIY UV+Heat Vacuum Oven
After UV curing for 2hr I removed the print to see how it had cured. I noticed that the back was not fully cured and decided to put it upside down under Lizard light to see how it would do with heat. It was fully cured and had no cracks. Don't know the exact temperature the lizard light goes up to a...

Re: SolusCast: Cracks in heavy model
Anxious to hear how it goes.
I sometimes make molds from models just so I don't have to deal with casting issues and if the SolusCast works well with the Solus curing box
it will save me lots of time and money.
I will also be talking to my boss about getting the Solus UV box.

Re: Casting SolusCast
printcast What was your curing method? I make molds from my prints sometimes and last week I made a mold from SolusCast and had one small area of the mold that did not fully harden. For the most part 95% of the mold was fine. I am beginning to think that the SolusCast may just take more time to cure...
