Re: Formlabs castable
My castings with Formlabs 02 have been good but I have just recently started doing castings. My Electromelt is down right now and next week I will be casting. Sent the casting out for this ring. Casting is platinum and Not printed with Solus since I had was not set it up at the moment. Have you had...

Re: Formlabs castable
I still do have some castable 01 but it is no longer being produced so I decided to use castable 02 because if it worked that was the one that I could re-order. Will continue testing. So far so good. Don't know if Emils recommended settings will work. I hope so. Ok. Thanks. Hope to hear how well it...

Re: Formlabs castable
Are you using version 1 or 2 of the form-labs castable resin? There should be a code on the bottle.

Proto curing entire build footprint
Hi I received a new projector about a month ago and since then whenever I try to use proto, I'm finding that the entire build footprint is being cured, resulting in a thin rectangular sheet of cured resin stuck to the film. All my RGB settings are correct and the computer has not been connected to t...

Re: Contour Software quesiton
I have the same issue. My Solus laptop, windows 8, Contour works fine. But on my CAD laptop, windows 10, I can't click between models.

Re: B9 Model Cure - what do you think?
Up until now I've been using the curing chamber on my old Projet1200 printer. The lamp has gone (again) so I want to get either a nail curing thing or tool sanitiser to replace it. I've looked on amazon.co.uk (I'm in the UK) and there are so many different models to choose from. I'm not sure which o...

Re: Contour Scale adjustment
It's very simple. Let's say you're printing a 10mm x 10mm x 10mm model. Once you print it out, you can measure what actually printed. For example you got 10.2mm x 10.4mm x 10.8mm instead. Then you just enter those original values under Original Scale, and what you got after printing under Actual Sc...

B9 Model Cure - what do you think?
I noticed the new B9 model cure unit, at the Imkr store.
https://www.imakr.com/en/home/786-b9-model-cure.html
Anyone have one and been using it with emerald? Worth the purchase? Or do I just stick with the inexpensive nail-curing unit?
Thanks

Rings, X or Y?
Just wondering... What's the consensus when orientating rings in relation to the build plate? Do you put the front of the ring (looking through-finger) facing the X or Y axis? To make this simpler: A or B ? ab.jpg Does it make a difference in terms of easier peeling and getting smoother results??

Re: Help - Flat to the table
Ive been doing quite a bit of flat printing recently and have been having good results. Note this is not recommended procedure but I have been calibrating my build plate in this manner. Use a sheet of film instead of paper on the quartz. Do not put pressure on the plate when tightening the screws. J...
