use 3300ms for 25z?
i've been using 2700 for 25z, and it's been working well up until now. i believe due to lumen loss... at 2800ms now.
should i take it higher? 3300 seems like too much.

Re: Failed Broken Prints.
Everytime i've started to have failures, i change the film and the problem goes away. There arent many avenues for problems, sure sign is when you cant print a model you have had success with. I'd change your film before you spend too much time troubleshooting. (Even of the film looks good) But, i'v...

Re: Solus Solidscape side by side
so the bullyseye are an indication of underexposure? my lamp hrs are at ~540, i have turned up exposure 100ms and that helped but i believe i still may need a little more exposure. the surface of the ring seems a little soft after print / pre cure. the rings are not an issue, but i do want proper ex...

Re: Solus Solidscape side by side
We seriously considered a solidscape, glad we went this route.
On the solus print, what causes the "bullseye" rings on the outside of the prints? You can see one in tbe pic.

Re: Projector Focus Area
you will be very hard pressed to get the ENTIRE build area in focus. it can get pretty close, but at 25xy it is difficult. i have to choose a happy medium, which means, none of the build area is in perfect focus. i believe you would have to adjust the native focal length by modifying the projector's...

Film worn? flip it over.
My film was scratched (i guess, looked pretty good), took out the film, cleaned 'er up real nice with alcohol, rinsed, alcohol again, rinse, air dry and re-install.
now it's printing just fine... i would've just replaced the film but i didn't have a back up.

Re: Post Curing
i only use virgin material, i've found that a faster burnout does improve removal of the resin. for some reason my prints, when heat curing, despite being UV cured for hours, no matter how small they are, seem to crack a little bit. any tips on preventing cracking? i can heat cure for 30min at 170*F...

Re: Recommended Casting Set Up
it depends on what you're looking to mold. all polytek are grouped by their material type and shore hardness. for instance, i started out using platsil 71-35, 71 being the platinum silicone material with a shore hardness of 35. there is 71-20, 71-30, etc. problem with the lower shore hardness, if yo...
