Re: During print failure platform is in low position
Turn off power to the printer. Turn the screw by hand to raise it up.
Once high enough take off build plate. Power back on and do home cycle.

Re: Various Grow Line Issues
One thing I see is your supports in the last picture are too thin. When I print rings like that my main support is 2mm in diameter and the tip is .08. You can't use the smaller tip size with SolusCast. Also need more supports around the top area of ring. Your getting slippage of the layers.

Bulb life? Also what version of Contour are you using? Might want to check for updates. Did you calibrate everything after change the setup size? Did you move the printer to the closer position? Using the correct profile? Play with the tension of the vat against the table?

Do you have ventilation blowing the heat away from the printer? If not, the heat build up will cause the your problem.

Re: Home Cycle Problem/Question
I just had some problems with contour software hanging. It was do to an update to windows. Reboot your computer a couple times.
Also check to see if any resin has dripped down the tube that houses the homing pin. I have had this happen and cause problems of it sticking.

Emil
He say's the platform is off. " I do have the resin vat and the film holderoff during this process."
That is not correct for it to take that long. Does the rod move freely in the tube? If you lightly press with your finger, do you feel or hear the click? Might be a bad switch.
