Re: B9 Yellow Castable Resin Testing
Has this resin been proven reliable in the Solus these days? I remember in the beginning people were complaining about it sticking to the film, etc. It seems like this stuff is more cast-friendly than the Emerald or even the Cherry. Am I thinking in the right direction? I'm using the B9Y exclusivel...

Re: Success curing and casting Emerald green resin
For my b9 yellow, I just rinse in three separate containers with iso. alcohol and then cure in water for a few minutes in the b9 cure machine.. perfect castings. I never tried the water/soap (much cheaper than wasting alcohol) - will give it a try.

Re: Contour Feature Requests
I know you can have a certain model not automatically supported by right clicking on it and there's an option that pops up (forgot what it says exactly).

Ring Supports (bottom thick one)
Is there a way to edit the thickness of the Ring Support in the Manual section? It would be awesome if we could control the width of it as it automatically covers almost the entire width of a ring shank.

Re: Resin recommendation
Different resins seems to off-gas differently. I've been able to be around B9 yellow and red/cherry much longer than MakerJuice G+ or some of that really noxious resin from Bucktown Polymers. If you really want to be safe, buy a fume hood for the printer setup and vent it outdoors away from doors o...

Re: Resin recommendation
@ Robin: Not having the projector under the machine definitely helps but is not enough to make the setup safe. The fumes of B9 resins are not carcinogenic. They are classified as 'Reproductive toxicity Category 2'. This is the info from the SDS: - May damage fertility (reproductive system) or the u...

Re: Recommendation for casting service for small orders (few prints a month)
Can someone suggest a reliable caster (company) in US that will be interested to work with small clients. What I would like is: - Place I could relay on long term - Works with strict deadlines - Willing to deal with NDAs even with small clients - Has high quality and business ethics standards that ...
