Re: CAST HELP ASAP PLS!!!!!!!! NEW TO CASTING
Here is what problems we have when casting SWP. Might be a cleaning issue and/or reaction with the investment. If I over clean the SWP models they can break down. Perhaps check you models after cleaning if you are not already to see if that is an issue. I also wonder if leaving invested flasks stan...

Re: CAST HELP ASAP PLS!!!!!!!! NEW TO CASTING
I dont know why casting SWP is so difficult. We have tried everything: different plasters (now we use Optoma Prestige), different tempereatures, bench times, cures etc. No help. I dont know if our kiln is too big and doesnt heat up fast enough. Thats only thing I can think of.
There...

Re: CAST HELP ASAP PLS!!!!!!!! NEW TO CASTING
No help for the original poster but was surprised to see the comments that B9 Emerald is better than Solus Wax Pro. Not doubting that it is for them.....but just not for me. I used B9 Emerald for a year or so but went back to Cherry and cast it for about 5 years IIRC. A year ago I was forced to move...

Sorry missed that........I would still suggest you try to get success at casting wax before trying to trouble shoot resins.......and also switch to Solus Wax Pro.

Re: First Time Casting
Is it possible to try cast B9 Emerald so we can rule things out? Good idea......or try casting some good old wax to rule investment issues or general casting issues out to a large degree ......seeing as the OP is new to casting and it may be easier to get wax than B9 resins here in Australia. I wou...

Re: solus wax burnout
what size are your flasks? 2 1/4 inch diameter. I had some taller ones made that are about 4 inches tall but the others are about as tall as they are in diameter. Might be one of the reasons I have success as I usually cast small flasks. I am usually casting 3- 5 flasks that size at a time. Good lu...

Instructions attached to this post. None came with my bottle either. Reify emailed it to me. Happier to have a pdf anyway.

Re: solus wax burnout
I just do it today and the top of my flask was broken, with soluswax pro so i have some doubts: 1. The ramping straight from 80F to 1450F in 1.5hrs was too fast?? 2. Or my kiln it's not enough calibrate and maybe is more than 1450F? Regards I have been casting the Solus Wax Pro for a couple of mont...

Re: ***Totally Stoked!!***
Yes still using the Emerald resin because I have had zero issues with it. I am not much on change if something works!! I am like that as well. If B9 had not shut down the sale of their resins in Australia by a 3rd party I would still be casting B9 Cherry. Unable to buy B9 resins locally a...

Thanks, I might try that if I can`t mix it back in. For now I can usually mix it back in cold in a couple of minutes.
