Re: So what is up with SolusWax Pro?
I think the directions said to extend the burnout another hour or two with heaver prints. I haven't tried it either so I will have to give it a go. Give it a go if you have not already Ron. Pretty much only doing the fast ramp now. Print, invest, stand for 90 minutes and then ramp straight up. Depe...

Re: Disappearing supports!
This happens a lot. And its really annoying coz you never know is the all supports there after moving/copying object or merging a scene. I have had this happen to me recently as well Mikkopee. Pretty sure this did not happen in some of the earlier versions. I just upgraded to 2.3.6 to get the Solus...

Re: So what is up with SolusWax Pro?
I cover it with a piece of cardboard and on top of the cardboard are some packets of silica gel absorbent. I just stir it up with the spatula and start printing. Thanks for the info Jewelermdt. I live in a really humid climate so have always sealed my trays after use as I started with an Asiga and ...

Re: So what is up with SolusWax Pro?
I have used a flexible silicone spatula to help mix it but it takes a lot of effort to ensure that the white portion is fully mixed back into the resin and when you rub the film with the blade, there is no residue. Thanks Ron. The resin has been sitting in the vat for a couple of days. I put on a g...

Re: So what is up with SolusWax Pro?
I now have the instructions for the SolusWax Pro and read this. "DO NOT USE WATER FOR CLEANING OR CURING OF SOLUSWAX PRO. WATER MAY DAMAGE THE PRINTS." Does that mean that it is recommended to not rinse the models in water after cleaning in IPA? You dry the IPA on the surface? I also have ...

I was wondering if this really is like wax and you can dewax. Been so long since I was able to dewax a pot. Will give it a try. Thanks.
Do you know if general instructions for this resin (printing and burnout) are online or available?
cheers,
Sochin

Re: So what is up with SolusWax Pro?
I am going to try and cast soon using Satin Cast as my preferred investment Omega+ was not available at the moment.....like a lot of other things. Fingers crossed but all good so far. First cast done. - rinse in IPA and ultrasonic - no curing at all - let dry - invest in Satin Cast and stand for 90...

Re: So what is up with SolusWax Pro?
I am sure we are all 'burnt out' (pun intended) whenever a new castable resin comes along, but does anyone have anything to share about the resin? Experiences while printing, curing or casting? Photos showing off the detail of the prints? Pros or cons against the other castable resins mentioned on ...

Re: Prestige Optima and Boric Acid
Anybody else add boric acid to Optima and have good results? Ron I use Omega + with 1.3% Boric premixed / dissolved into my distilled water. **Edit 14/01/2020: so my percentage of Boric is to the water not the investment Ron. I add 13 grams to each litre of distilled water (think that works out at ...
