In any case,The soluwax did print much better, the filigree on the green is all clogged.
Regarding your question "What about the shrinkage aspect of it". I would leave it to the moderator of the site. He is the highest authority to troubleshooting process.

You may need to review you settings and set up. The quality print on both rings is awful. You can do way better prints on a nicely zeroed solus. Marc.

Well, we experienced that in leaving our prints for a longer time in Alcohol, the results can be dramatic, the alcohol will disintegrate or eats up the uppermost layer, by that the surface won't be as smooth after the casting, so you need more time to finish your piece.

I assume the best approach for you right now Is to review all your basic settings and most importantly redo a test with the ring provided by solus only for now.

A good casting machine can make a world of difference. Few extra degrees can overheat your gold alloy and make you casting porous. Casting with a torch is simply hit and miss. Soluwax will save you all the curing time and the expense to get a performing unit. People are using basic UV nail curing and getting excellent results.
