none of what i print has prongs, we're not doing gems yet. positive details are much easier than negative, but i'd be willing to bet you can print any prong size.

Re: Splashing around base and fail print
whenever my exposure time was too low, i'd have random fails. just a guess. film tension also plays a role.
try turning up the exposure 200ms and see what happens.

Re: first job...........
were you able to figure out how much percentage X & Y for a given location. meaning i could scale any model in that location the same, and assuming they were roughly the same size, they'd come out accurate?

i think you should print something of a known width, or measure something of a known width on the quartz. measuring the light will get you in the ballpark, but in the end, it's what the print comes out to be. i'd adjust your build area manually to correct for this issue. your rings are oval because ...

don't buy the entire housing assembly. you can purchase just the lamp inside of the housing for ~$50. remove the lamp housing from the projector and look at the ceramic on the back of the lamp. it will say 'p-vip 240/0.8 e20.8' or something similar. i forget, but i believe that is right. you must ge...

my base layer is only 25 microns thick, and since i print at 25 microns Z, the base is done in one layer. i have my base layer count set to 5 in CW, i've found that with this i don't get the "popping" and have yet to have a single fail with this method. also, this cured an issue where some...

this projector will do 3200 lumens in eco, and 4000 in normal. any reason this projector wouldn't work? In eco mode, this thing will put out more than the 8606 in normal. i've checked, and the lamp is a mercury vapor, so it will cure resin. question being, is there such a thing as too much light? we...

yes, i am currently printing at 30u XY. i am using the 10x, and my build area is 58x by 32y. you will have to adjust zoom, and calibrate based on something of a known size. i use a 25mm cube.

Re: Post Curing
it may have just been my layer exposure being too low, but i won't be changing whats working. it is a bitch to remove the castings, because i let them cool down a lot before removal.
