Re: Halo Split
I'm either using Rhino (mostly) or RhinoGold. Yeah, I made the mistake once of using the mesh checker in Rhino and it missed all those nice boobietraps. I ran the STL again in netfabb and it fixed a bunch of problems. With the exception of one area, all the bad spots were in the supports themselves....

Re: One quality higher than B9 Cherry?
The projector nicely warms up the area too ;) It's been running for 6-7 hours straight now and you can feel the temp difference when you walk in.. feels like summer all over again lol. The B9Ceator just released 2 new resins. Now because of the entry of solus and the sharp decline in B9 Sales , The...

Re: Halo Split
I printed a similar ring yesterday that used 1mm melee stones instead of 2mm and it printed fine. It did have side stones on the halo though so it wasn't flat like this one. I used the mesh repair tool in RG today and it said the model was good to go. I just checked it with netfabb and a bunch of or...

Halo Split
This ring is giving me a hard time to print. The halo split in half on both rings (same print run). One of the prongs broke off during the run before that Any idea why is this happening?

Re: One quality higher than B9 Cherry?
Emil, when printing a lot of models as shown in the video, do you find yourself adding more resin midprint? If so, does the temp of the newly poured resin affect the print? Thanks.

Re: One quality higher than B9 Cherry?
Cool. It's sooner than I expected actually. It's gonna be slow after the holidays anyway. It would be nice to have before Valentines tho.

Re: One quality higher than B9 Cherry?
That's awesome, Emil. I don't want to seem pushy as this has been asked many times already but when do you think it'll be released? Are we talking weeks or months down the line? Btw, I'm not going to hold it against you.. just ballpark figures for a general idea, thats all. @robin With this resin we...

Re: One quality higher than B9 Cherry?
Emil, We're all looking forward to the new resin. You know there's a huge line of people waiting for it! @EddyF, thanks for the info. I've got a good feeling about the Solus resin though. It should be the go-to resin when it comes out unless it's insanely priced and then I'll turn into the "mon...

Re: One quality higher than B9 Cherry?
Is the B9 Cherry "reliable" at straight casting, no mold making first? If not, I really need a recommendation of a resin that can do straight casting. And yeah, seriously release the Solus resin already!

Re: One quality higher than B9 Cherry?
That's great to hear! I'll be constantly shipping the printed models to a client of mine so a "safe" delivery is something to worry about. How tough would you say the new resin is? Nvm, I just noticed the "durable" part.
