Is the 'light intensity' setting on the SolusCast profile for weaker bulbs/adjusting exposure?
I don't remember seeing it before.

Re: Ben's Prints
The professional curing box looks like the best option but I'm curious about the effectiveness of natural sunlight. I noticed the SolusCast resin cures rapidly under direct sunlight.

Re: Introducing the SolusCast resin
Until I start growing large, beautiful models like the lion's head, I'll stick with the SolusProto and Solus curing box for larger pieces.

Re: Introducing the SolusCast resin
If most resins are optomized for 405nm, what does a curing unit capable of 700nm accomplish? Shorter cure times? I'm curious what type of resin or model work would necessitate a $4,000 curing box?

Re: Introducing the SolusCast resin
I've received the SolusCast and I'm curious how much I should compensate for shrinkage if any? With the Emerald I was using 3-3.5%.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks Emil and Acherm. I like modeling animals when I get the chance. It gives me a chance to study their structure and features in a substantial way. A whippet is my next animal project.

Re: Support Thickness
Is that a solid model? You would definitely need larger stronger supports for that. Most likely sag during printing. I would hollow the model and possibly print it in two parts. I it's hollow, you will need a hole for the non cured resin to drain out while printing. Also longer wait time between la...

For the most part my models have been fine with 1mm supports. When is it appropriate to use 1.5 and 2mm supports? What are the variables for support and tip size... detail, model size, travel distance, resin type, all of the above? I'm about to print this 25xy tilted 15 deg. w/default support size o...

If there's enough room on the platform, maybe you could move it to a different spot and see if the blemish still appears.

Re: Auto Supports and Manual Supports now in Contour!
Thank you for a very nice addition. Fewer and lighter supports were used on my last model and it turned out fine. I look forward to future developments.
