Replacing USB A/B cable
I seem to be getting some connection issues between the printer and our laptop and am looking to replace our usb cable. (unplugging/replugging and cutting the printer off/on fixes it but I have to do it every print) Does anyone have a recommendation to a specific brand of cable that works well as a ...

Re: Warped Prints
Is your film perfectly flat against the quartz? I had a similar issue when i replaced my film and noticed the film didnt lay 100% flat against the quartz. To check, just empty out the VAT and place it back on with no resin, then use something to poke around on different areas to see if there are spo...

Re: Printing and supports
how large are your support tips? Maybe try with thicker supports and increasing the exposure just a bit.

Are you microwaving it as well as UV curing it?
Just UV curing in distilled water for 2-3 hours and it seems to cast just as well as a fully cured emerald model

Re: solus wax burnout
I've just ordered myself a sample bottle, thanks. Don't you get ash left in the flask using the emerald resin? I used to use that and I would constantly get pitted castings from (I presume) ash left in the flask, that's why I tried the Soluswax, but I'm still having a few problems with that. With t...

Re: solus wax burnout
Messerbr, Can you tell me when you put the flask into the kiln when ramping up to 1450? as soon as the kiln is turned on or when it reaches that temperature? I put the flask into a cold kiln so it would be in there while temperatures went from 70F to 1450F. Although, we have switched back to using ...

Re: Ben's Prints
Cool! What is you cure and casting/burnout practice? I try to follow archerm's method but with a little longer hold at the top end. http://www.reify-3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=250 although, as i read back over it I see that I have the UV/Microwave curing parts swapped from what he has lis...

Re: Flashing issues
I do a quick rinse in alcohol. This picture is a little better. I just modeled this for spec. If I was going to actually use it I would revise the font and depth of letters. I'm open to any insights you have into making this a lot better. Have you tried reducing the slider for 'Light Intensity' in ...

Re: Flashing issues
How did you get the 'light intensity' slider to show up for your Emerald Resin Profile? It looks like you have that turned all the way up, have you tried reducing that setting?
