homing cycle doesn't work again
Same problem as last week. Went to print and nothing. Tried again on the old program, nothing. Do you have write up on how to fix this. Don't really want to bother you folks again. Thanks, Robert Hood

Re: ***It is all about the cure!!!***
One of the previous posts mentioned a 20 watt UV lamp available on Ebay. The brand name is Quans. I got one and found the castings absolutely flawless. I didn't use water or microwave, just the light for an hour on each side and then over night in the nail spa. The green resin. I tried the maker jui...

Leadscrew maintenance
I notice the leadscrew grease has turned black over time. I assume this grease should be wiped clean and replaced. If true, what do you recommend for grease?

Re: Trouble in Casting Paradise
Another 2 cents. I get consistently better results when I include 2 hr. at 250 F. before ramping full to 800. I don't know why it works but I am guessing that this strengthens the investment.

Re: Trouble in Casting Paradise
I use plasticast almost exclusively now. If you have tried mixing this stuff without a vacuum mixer you probably hate it. It foam up so much when you vacuum the flask that I had to tape aluminum foil around the top of the flask . I bought a 1 liter hand vacuum mixer from stuller and eliminated this ...

I will try higher temp as well as 30 minute longer hold. I really like the 6 hour burnout. Thank you for sharing this procedure. It will help a lot of people.

Trouble casting Resin models, results....
These are the castings I made last night. The resin was emerald. I didn't want to go all the way to 1400 f or 1450 f on my first try. There are some extremely tiny pits but these disappear with light sanding. I will try a half hour longer on the hold and go up to 1400 f on the next run but really th...

Trouble casting resin model? read this....
I bought a Projet 1200 threee years ago. I found it virtually impossible to cast the first resin that 3dm produced. I joined a forum for Rhinogold and a number of us around the world began working on a solution. We eventually got reasonable results with phosphate bonded investment but even though 3d...
