Lubricant for Z-Screw

Postby Robert » Thu Jan 11, 2018 12:55 pm

Hey guys,

So I asked the Reify folks for suggested lubricants and they did tell me a brand, but it was impossible to get in Europe, let alone the UK.

Just wanted to say, I have been using Magnalube which is pretty widely available in Europe. It's very, very thin and you use barely any at a time. The tubes are expensive, but will last a lifetime. I'm finding it's helped keep movement smooth on both my FORM2 and the Solus that we use here.

Cheers!

White lithium grease is what's recommended.

Every 4-6 months. I run the printer around 14-16 hours a day usually.

Guess I've been stretching my luck. had mine 2 years now and haven't lubed mine. I have thought about it, but fail to do it. Prints are great. I don't print as mush as some of you. I have increased the last few months. So it's time.
