Pouring from the tray

Postby Wdshea » Fri Dec 25, 2015 6:55 am

thought i'd share this... i know if you've used this machine for a minute, you've experienced this at least once.

that's packing tape if you can't tell, and that little container works really well. it's Ziploc brand, and it has a little lip on the bottom that makes it really easy to pour into the tray whilst it is in the machine.

I have started to filer all material coming out of the vat putting back into the container before reusing. Never know when your going to get debris.

I actually saw someone using a Keurig filter for straining the resin.

I have been straining with 1/2 of one of the small stainless basket strainers for the ultrasonic. They work great. I found these containers on amazon for the filtered resin. They keep the UV light out and have a big mouth so pouring in and out of the jar is easy. I have been using a big syringe to fill the vat and these jars will let the syringe go in all the way to the bottom if need be.
