If there is some cured resin sticking on the film, what's the best way to remove this without scratching the film?
Using plastic tweezers?
For cleaning I use pec pads and alcohol/paper towels.
Best way cleaning the vat?
Re: Best way cleaning the vat?
Gently push the fail from under the film to separate it, then pick it out with the supplied tweezers. Try not to poke the tweezers into the film.
Do not wipe the film with paper towels, they are quite abrasive. And don't touch the alcohol to the acrylic, it can cause it craze. In fact, I don't think you need to wipe the film with anything. To stir the resin, the best thing to use is a soft silicone baking spatula like this:

What I do to remove cured resin on the vat is
1. put the vat in place with enough resin to cover the tank (remove build plate)
2. Create a rectangle with the same dimension as the print area example 48mmx27mm thickness 1mm
3. Slice it
4. go into slice view and project the rectangle image for say 10seconds
5. remove vat and use the "Gently push the film from under the film to separate it with a microfiber cloth, then pick it out with tweezers. Try not to poke the tweezers into the film. "
This method removes those pesky small resin that are insanely difficult to pick up and clears any residue resin left from previous print.
Far easier to peel a large rectangle too

Gwant,
That is a good idea. Does it leave any dents in the film when the build platform presses down on the pieces stuck to the film?

That's a good idea as long as you don't use the build platform. Simply project the window using the slice view.

don't have to have the build platform on for this.
I like that idea. I had some very small fails that were very thin and had to grab. Thanks for that.

Yup your right. It's more so a precaution. In case one accidentally presses the play button

Qwant, Thank you for the great tip.
Re: Best way cleaning the vat?
ASIGA use a light burst of 20 seconds to clean their tank as well.
