Solus Contour Grid Adjustments
Posted: Thu Jul 21, 2016 12:02 am
We are currently working on a video that shows what each control does and how to adjust the grid distortion properly.
In the meantime, I would like to share my settings. Your lenses might be slightly different (they all have tiny variations), so feel free to make small adjustments.
1. The first thing you should do is to make sure your projector legs are closed all the way.
2. Project the grid and click the default button.
3. Make sure the side borders of your grid are parallel to each other. Easy way to do this is to measure the distance at the top and the bottom.
If they are off, use the Keystone button on the projector remote to correct this trapezoidal distortion.
4. Put in the suggested values below, based on which projector you have.
Infocus HD8606
Center X/Y: 0.50 0.58
Distortion Params: 0.98 0.01 0.01 0.01
Optoma HD37
Center X/Y: 0.48 0.68
Distortion Params: 0.97 0.05 -0.02 0.01
5. Measure the grid and make sure it's 48mm x 27mm (or if you're setting up for 42xy, that it's 80mm x 45mm)
6. Focus the lines.
