I received a mailer from Gesswein showcasing the new Formlabs Cure device.

http://www.gesswein.com/p-12991-formlabs-form-cure.aspx

Doesn't have the vacuum feature, but it will rotate the model and will heat up the chamber to 80°C.

Not sure if $699 is a good deal, but maybe there is a coupon or something. ;-)

This unit is my design, and is created by me. I use one of them myself, this curing machine is good for high volume orders if you have 20-50 rings at once. It takes 5-10 minutes to cure. I build this machine only by order - I just sold out of the machine to a large casting company for $3500. It takes me about 3 months to build this machine. This machine is not suited for people who cure 3-5 models, There are many curing machines on the market, everybody tries make it cheaper but the final outcome is a little better than nail dryer......If you buy pulsing curing machine that is fine, it does not work that bad, has small chamber and sells for about same price $3500

I made one. It takes a REAL long time to properly cure the emerald material. It probably takes 1.5 to 2 hours for a good casting. And my can gets really hot. Believe it or not those UV-LED strip lights throw some heat!!

after everything Iv read , I think its the heat that does the help in the prep for casting , not so much the light ( heat relieves stress in the resin ) different resins require different heat temp.'s . but all need to relieve the stress threw heat , I think for waxcast (MJ) its 120-150 F , and the emerald , Iv herd it anywhere from 200 - 250 F about 2 hours or so , dependent on resin and thickness too . or you can boil the emerald for 10 min. , I think the whole boiling process takes about an hours from room temp to boil - from boil to about 150 F then tree and cast , NO UV at all
