Hi
Can anyone help. All my rings seem to be printing slightly oval in the Z. With or without supports. What am I doing wrong.
Thanks

Re: Rings coming out Oval
Please check the measurements in X and Y and compare them to the STL file. If you find either X or Y is out, you can try adjusting via the "zoom" on the projector (don't forget to re-focus), but you may get a better result using the controls in Solus Contour File --> Setup --> [Project Grid]
Re: Rings coming out Oval
I had this problem. You just need to work out what percentage taller the Z height is, then compensate for that with the scaling tool in Contour.
So, for example, my Z height was 2% taller, so I scaled the models in Z to 98%.

Re: Rings coming out Oval
I am running my first sets of prints. I am having a similar issue, my rings are oval instead of round. Is this the best answer to scale in the Z or is there a more permanent fix?
If you change the Z in the Contour software will it remember it or do you have to remember to set it every time?
Sorry I'm a nubie at this printer
Thanks
Dave

Re: Rings coming out Oval
Please make sure your grid size and ratio are correct. There is no reason to get oval rings unless your xy dimensions are off.

I had the same problem. It took forever to find this fix.

Re: Rings coming out Oval
Will this calibration also effect the overall size of the models as well? I noticed my models are a bit smaller than they are supposed to be as well. To be fair I am measuring the ones tht are a bit oval.

Re: Rings coming out Oval
When you have the grid calibrated correctly, the prints should be the right size, not counting shrinkage from the resin.
