Re: machine making weird noises
I believe it's the metal on metal friction in the clevis. It's nothing to worry about and should go away by itself. If not, you may need to put another piece of teflon tape on there but that would involve opening up the machine.
The two rods flexing is normal if you have a large slice that causes lots of vacuum forces during lifting.

Re: machine making weird noises
Mine made that noise when my backlash nut started going bad. Eventually, it got so tight it would seize the motor. You might want to check the gap on your nut.

Re: machine making weird noises
Cleaning and applying fresh grease is recommended for the Z screw. This will keep the anti-backlash nut lubricated so it doesn't seize up.

Re: machine making weird noises
yea the noise goes and comes back, but now its almost like it permanently there, i grease the screw every 2 weeks, but now its almost like the machine screams when it goes up and stops, and when it come down and stops. so up stop "noise", down stop " noise, its still printing but makes u feel uneasy when the machine is screaming next to u
thx

You may need to open the machine and put new teflon tape on the tilt motor screw slit. It may have worn out and what you're hearing is metal on metal friction sounds.

Re: machine making weird noises
so the problem is not the the tilt table its the plate when its goes up and down, sometime it blocks and decides not to go down and u hear the motor triying to run but blocked. i run it up and down until the noise stops, so im guessing its the anti backlash nut is seizing, but the screw has been lubricated really well, also im confused, also when i run the home cycle when it goes all the way back up ( if its not seized ) when its stops at the top it make the noise and almost skips. so its causing the plate home to be off, so my parts wont stick to the plate, like there is a gab when it goes down to print or the opposite its pushes down on the plate and u hear the motor force. i dont know its the z axis motor is almost shot or the backlash nut is seizing plz let me kno

Re: machine making weird noises
I believe I'm having the same issue. Yesterday I set up a print and the homing cycle worked fine but when I went to start the print it immediately jammed. I had to cancel the print and attempted to run the homing setup again and it was making the same noises. Today regreased the z screw and it went through the homing set up just fine but when I try to start the print it stopped and made the loud motor noises.
