I adjust the feet on the projector to get my grid in the middle of the quartz. I just prefer it this way. I then project the grid and calibrate it for size and focus. You can also adjust the grid if it is not square.

I edited my post about the French and add another thought.

Mike that was the case with the older projectors (infocus and optoma). The new Vivitek, we suggest keeping the feet all the way closed. To center the grid a bit more vertically, which is not necessary, can be done using the Shift knob on top of the projector.

Ok

I just like my grid to be in the center. Maybe because I had to re-glue / tape my glass which was a little wider tape.

Looks like your model has an indent on the side of the shank. One side has a support the other doesn't. You can't always trust the Auto Support feature in Contour. Clink on manual supports, add then go look for green spots on the model that do not have a support to it. Then add one. Move the slider on the right hand side up slowly. look for parts of your model that have no support. They will look like an island.

I get that line in heavier models sometimes. I have not figured out what exactly causes it.

Try a constant voltage regulator to eliminate random growth line problems.

Here is a link that explains what may be happening when a video projector is used for 3D printing instead of video projection:

That line represents a sudden change to a large solid layer that is not supported properly. Try tilting the ring slightly to eliminate that large layer.
