no prints from solus

Postby AV Designs » Sat Apr 21, 2018 5:13 pm

hey all. I'm racking my brain about why my solus isn't printing. this machine has just been one head ache after another. about two months ago I broke the glass and had Emil send me a new one, then the lift motor went out and I got the new one with metal parts. then about a month ago I bought a new bulb. I was getting about 50 percent of my prints, which is bad enough. When I talked to Emil He said it was the bulb. but I was getting some prints. now I'm not getting nothing. everything seems to be working fine but nothing. there is a flaw in the program or something. I have done a lot of maintenance and have kept up with everything. I'm frustrated that this much of an investment isn't really working. Has anyone has this problem please let me know

When you replaced your bulb, was it an original bulb bought from the manufacturer? Also did you remove the UV filter when you installed the new bulb?

yes this was an OEM bulb. I didn't buy the case, I already have one and yes the filter is off the case. Problem is when I print I'm not getting nothing not even the resin supports on the bottom of the plate.
even with a bad bulb, I would get something printed on the build plate. this is probably a program issue. after a couple of years I know I cant be that bad as using the machine. if it is the bulb I believe it would still print something even if its not a finished print. I can start again but at what cost this is a long and expensive prosses of using up resin and time and new film everytime a bad print happens. been doing the same things.

Try printing without a resin tank and without the build plate. See if the layers are being projected onto the glass. If they are then its not a software issue.
