project grid problems

I'm going through the set up process and following instructions. When I try to project the grid it only shows up on my screen display and not the projector. Have I set it up incorrectly? I can move my mouse over to the projector display so I know that the computer is at least seeing the projector and using it as a second display.

Most likely you haven't setup your displays correctly. Make sure to extend the displays so that the projector is your second display. It's all in the instructions.
