amd based graphics and print failures

If you have an AMD based graphics card you won't be able to follow along with the directions on step 7 of the user manual. Instead you'll need to change the 'pixel format' for your projector in your graphics control panel(control catalyst/radeon settings, etc) to RGB 4:4:4 Pixel Format PC Standard.
Otherwise, you'll find your prints tend to fail after a certain height( or more accurately, exposures) due to your blacks not having their full range. This may be evidenced by the rectangular window stuck to your vat around your failed sections.

Big thanks to Emil for helping me on his Saturday!

Are there specific settings for AMD cards? I'm experiencing similar issues with this. I'm running win 10 and have changed the pixel format to RGB 444 in the catalyst control center and am still having failed prints.

Joe,

Are you getting a rectangle cured on the film?

I was getting a cured rectangle but since I switched to full rgb i haven't been experiencing that problem, just failed prints.I'm sure its something to do with the graphics chip.

Must be. We haven't been experiencing much success with AMD/ATI stuff. That's why we recommend Intel graphics (or Nvidia if you can't help it)

I would try to increase the exposure times a bit. See if that helps.

Unfortunately I cannot change the graphics chip set. I'm running win 10 via bootcamp on an iMac, the graphics card is soldered directly onto the logicboard! Im running a calib print to see if it works, I will tweak the exposure if it fails
