tilt switch problems?

red is screw, green is part of tilt plate, blue is broken plastic piece.

just got my replacement quartz and was going over the internals to find what screw had to be turned to make the homing more consistent when I found this broken plastic thing. Not sure what it is or what it's for.
In the picture the extruded bottom is fully broken from light touch. Before that, it was looking as in the diagram(blue part). I'm assuming that the dotted part should have been there, however I see no sign of it anywhere. All that was there is the solid blue shape. Seems like that could have been the cause of my intermittent homing problems in the past. :shrugs

Any guidance? Can I print out a replacement on my fdm or need I order it?

I recommend upgrading your tilt motor to the new version that was released 2 or more years ago.

What is the purpose of the plastic hat thing? It looks like it's supposed to keep the tilt plate centered on the screw, but for that to work it would have to rotate freely on the threads but right now it acts like it was glued(maybe resin got inside).
I can easily replace it, just let me know if I'm correct in its function.

I think it keeps the motor screw from rotating so it moves up or down instead.

We sell the motor upgrade. Contact info@junction3d.com for more details.
