Hey guys, just switched to the 41 micron resolution, and I'm getting a bowing effect along the far side.
The near side is pretty straight, but the middle is starting to bow a little.
Anyone have any ideas on how to rectify this?

Check to see if the surface that the projector is sitting on is level and that the projector is level. Even a slightest angle will do that.

There is always going to be slight bowing on the top because of the projector lens. It won't affect your prints. It's possible to modify the lens assembly to virtually eliminate it but will void tbe projector warranty.

Thanks Emil, I did raise the back of the projector to centre the grid onto the quartz plate.
With the projector and printer dead flat, the image isn't centred on the build plate, but it does look like the curvature has straightened out a bit.
The projector feet are retracted all the way in, and the printer and projector are sitting on a flat desk, close up lenses are nice and snug.

Is there a way to centre the projected area, and have the lesser level of distortion?

Have you tried a print? The distortions are minimal and won't impact your print.

Thanks mate, appreciate the help. I ran a print off, seems to have printed nicely but that curvature just worries me...

I've raised my projector about 1/4" from all the way down. I kept adjusting until i had good focus front to back. I also wanted my build area centered on the quartz.

I am printing at 25XY and with the +10 close up lens the depth of field is very narrow, meaning if your projector isn't square to the printer, it may not be possible to focus the build area throughout its entirety.At least for me it wasn't.

At 41XY your depth of field is not as narrow, but i would still check focus in all four corners and in the middle. I also found the the calibration grid is not precise enough for fine focus. I load a model in CW, place it all over the build plate, slice, choose a slice with a lot of small detail, and project It.

The bow in the calibration grid may be distortion from the lens.

And if you think you're still not getting the resolution you want, make sure brilliant color in the projector menu is set to 0.

This is the first time I've ever set up my printer for 42xy, else I would of asked this years ago! What is the best way to center the image on the quartz? Instructions give me two ways of doing it. First way the instructions say "For the H1186, you may need to unscrew the back feet of the projector a few mm to move the projection down into the border of the top quartz frame. This may affect the keystone (giving a trapezoidal image) and you can straighten the sides of the projected grid by using the keystone function on the projector." And the second way it says "*Note:If the image projects past the back of the top window at 42XY, you will need to add the four, 1mm spacers between the printer case and feet to lift the printer up(one spacer for each foot):" Is one way better then the other?
