I have a two tone ring that I am making so I have to print out the two pieces separately.
I really have no idea on how to support this piece.
The PreForm software makes a jumbled mess that I'd never be able to clean up
Thanks in advance for any insight. I'm still hoping someday I'll be able to contribute to this forum other than 'what not to do', lol.

[SOLVED] Best way to support something like this
Re: Best way to support something like this
Not sure this is the best way, but Kerstien added a thin band around the inside instead of making individual supports for all the overhangs.

Thanks, Monger.
I will give your solution a try and if it fails, I will go with Kerstien's.
Either way, I'll start posting pictures of my successes and failures. I'm nowhere near the level of most of you guys here but it may be of some help.

Re: Best way to support something like this
The thin layer works great. Used it on this ring. It's only .2mm if I remember right.
Re: Best way to support something like this
I would print ithis horizontal would be easy to support that way. And it would print very fast.
Re: Best way to support something like this
Monger's solution worked. What software do you use to make those supports?
One of the prints pulled up on the base but it seems usable still. I printed 2 just in case anyway. What causes this?
In the future, I'll probably use the thin band method as it seems easier, lol.

Yes, the thin band method will be easier.
