The semicolon at the beginning is necessary. I'll try to figure out the RS233 shutdown command for the HD37 asap.

Hi, I have the OptomaHD37 and having auto shutoff is really a must because I often need to print over night. You probably have this but here is the hex code;

Power ON
~XX00 0 7E 30 30 30 30 20 30 0D
Power OFF (0/2 for backward compatible)
~XX01 1 7E 30 30 30 31 20 31 0D

Thanks!

Cool. How do we implement that into the Gcode at the end?

My projector is only 3 weeks old and it already has 600 hrs on the lamp. :(

It's easy. Simply click on CONTROL, EDIT COMMANDS, click on the 'Off' command and edit the HEX code.

Do you think it's possible to implement that change in the middle of a build? I mean, considering the cable is hooked up and the com port setup correctly, etc.

Ok...another n00b question...

I tried to use that hex code as the power off option for the HD37 but it didn't work. Most definitely I have entered it incorrectly. :)

Is this what I'm supposed to put there:
1 7E 30 30 30 31 20 31 0D

or this:
01 1 7E 30 30 30 31 20 31 0D

I entered this in the box, hit apply and done and it didn't shutdown:
7E3030303120310D

Thanks!!!

Wrong hex code. Here's the correct one to auto power off the HD37:

7E 30 30 30 30 20 30 0D

Or, without spaces if you wanna c&p
7E3030303020300D

I'm getting a "Projector driver not installed" while trying to send the Turn Off command.

Is there some kinda driver required other than the serial-to-usb driver?

In the System properties of Control Panel I have a generic looking video component with an exclamation mark and no driver installed. Think that's it?
