How do you get it to stop notifications also? It keeps telling me that I need to update. So far, no failures but I don't want to have problems. Thanks, Sherry

For Windows 7

Select the System Icons module (you might have to scroll down to find it). Locate the Action Center option and select Off on the drop down box to the right. Close the dialog box and the settings will take effect. Open the Action Center and select Change Action Center Settings in the left pane.

Yes sir! This happened to me. I got a nice big flat rectangle instead of what was suppose to be a pendant. Thanks Microsoft!
