I see now where it went wrong....pictures from Emil (Thank You Emil)....he pointed out the "islands". I need to use the slicer more often.

I wouldn't think those small unsupported sections would cause the break in the ring though. If anything, the cross detail would be degraded when the layers afterwards picked up the small cured resin bits.

The red part on the previous capture just shows clipping against the print area, right? Assuming your model is solid, you would get a flat spot where it overextended the boundary.

The unsupported layers can float around and get stuck to the film, blocking the light and causing a fail in that area.

Switch to the larger build platform and print it horizontally.

This is a new one ....printed these with generated supports as well adding a couple more. It built with what looks like a shelf on the disc in the recessed areas and also shows on the edge of them. Kind of looks as though the were bent back and forth, but with a definite shelf showing.
For kicks I had made a couple grow with no supports at all and directly from the plate......grew absolutely fine . Will grew in the same batch.

What's probably the issue? Thank you all ....David

No surprises at all here. You are trying to print a large object supported by tiny little supports on the bottom. There will be sway and movement because the object is not firmly supported in place.

Use the ring support on the bottom or add more and thicker supports.

It was surprisingly to me how everyone of them were identically printed this way and yet the other slightly larger disc on the same plate did not reform even as they were supported in the same manner.
