Homing Issue

Postby KevMan » Tue Sep 12, 2017 5:08 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm having a " Homing " issue on my original Solus. It just started happening. I go to start a print, machine goes to " homing ", but the z moves down to the bottom position and just sits there clicking....... I turned the printer off and disconnected from the computer. I re-boot the computer and it will do the same thing. My work around was to go into settings and manually move the " Z ", but it won't let me. I don't recall the message I was getting. So, I then hit " Home " while on the setup screen and it ran the cycle and went back to the start position. I was good to go and printed fine. But, if I exit Contour and open it again, I run into the same problem with the " Homing " step.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Thanks,

Kev

I have had this issue intermittently for a while now, right down to the clicking. I have to unplug and re-plug the USB and all is good.

Try pulling up on the quartz window frame from the tilt side (on the left) twice. It should complete the homing process and move the arm up.

If this happens all the time, then it's possible the tilt switch is not being pressed effectively. Contact us and we will walk you through on how to adjust this.

Thank you Emil! I'll give that a whirl and call you if it doesn't do the job.
