loading programs

Postby JosephW » Thu Feb 08, 2018 7:42 pm

I'm a new Solus user. I bought a new computer to use with my contour printer. I was in the process of loading my old CAD programs (From CDs) onto the computer when the printer arrived. I put a pause on the CAD programs and went straight to installing the printer's program. Now that I am up and running on the printer I am unable to load any additional CAD programs. Does anyone know if the Solus printer software interferes with Windows Setup.exe commands? When I insert a disc it begins the process of loading, I am prompted to allow the program to make changes to my computer and then nothing more. If anyone has an answer I'd appreciate the help.

We strongly suggest having a separate dedicated laptop for the Solus. You don't need anything too powerful. We use $350 laptops here. The minimum recommended settings are: Intel i3 process, 4gb ram, Intel graphics, Window 10.

Thank you for the suggestion. I had been planning on doing CAD during the day and printing in the evening. I do have and older laptop I could use for the printer.

It was suggested I used a dedicated laptop to run my printer, good idea. When I went to load the program onto my laptop I got an error message saying I have an invalid code. I just received this code from Emil two days ago. Do you know if I need a new code in order to load the program on a different computer?

Thanks for your help,
Joseph

Yes, you need a new code for the new computer. Just contact info@junction3d.com with the new product id and we will send you a new license data for that new computer.
