Partial prints?
I have just started using this machine and think that it will do a good job, but I am currently getting partial prints. Just curious if there are steps I can take to help insure better prints. I am replacing solution every print. Do I need a new film? How often should I change those?

Hi Blake,
If you post some photos, we can help. Most likely a supports issue.

Re: Partial prints?
Yes to the supports. Also do you run your model through Netfab or a Mesh fixer to look for bad areas? You can have a good nubs model but when it coverts to a mesh, it can throw some triangles outside the model and cause problems.

I'm assuming obj checker in Matrix doesn't work? I have never use Netfabb. I have used the B9 for a long time and haven't had any troubles. I bought the Solus to get smoother prints and continue to use the B9 for larger items. My prints are sticking to the film and making a popping noise. I am thinking that could be the issue.

Popping noise is normal for large slice areas. But if it's happening in all layers then your film most likely is damaged. Did you clean it with anything abrasive?

No, I simply use the rubber spatula that was sent. You are correct, it mainly does it in the beginning when growing the base. After thinking about it, I remember Emil saying something about pre-slicing and I read that some were getting better results with that. I am creating the grow with supports on one computer and transporting to another computer and transferring as a .cws. I will pre-slice and then transfer and see how it does.

Also, I would like to use B9 Yellow. Do I need to change any settings? Or do I continue to use the Emerald settings?
Re: Partial prints?
How are you creating supports? Can you post some pics of your layout?
It's essential you select the yellow profile.

I don't see Yellow as an option. Can you tell me how to download other options?
