Hello Folks,
My name is Newton and I reside in Boise, Idaho I'm trying to evolve
my artistic skills into the 3D Realm
At the present time I'm doing Lost Wax Casting for my Jewelry
using waxes that I make/build/modify, I'm just starting/trying to get
a handle on Sculptris.
Now here is my first dumb question:
I recently watched a video on a 3D Printer and how to prepare the
prints afterwards for casting. It seemed like the prep for casting
was more work than what was done to make the print
(Cleaning with Alcohol, UV Curing and some other steps that I have forgotten)
Now I cant remember which 3D Printer it was, Any Ideas ?
I'm going to be looking for a simple to use 3D Printer
Thanks

Hi,

I think many people are now using the microwave method for post curing. It speeds things up greatly and offers a much more consistent cure. Just rinse the prints in alcohol, put them in a glass with demineralized water and boil them in the microwave for 3 minutes (time depends bit on microwave power). Let the water cool until it's warm to the touch and repeat 2 more times.
