Failed Prints

Postby jdwages » Thu Jul 07, 2016 7:54 pm

Just would like to hear some thoughts. I have been printing a large Gents ring, 1st time prints perfect then the next 2 times it fails. Any ideas on why this happens I think I am doing the same thing each time? It is a large ring and can only fit 1 at a time @ 48x27 build area.

I like to wipe the vat coating to make sure nothing is stuck.. Maybe something is stuck?

I check it between prints, vat is clean and almost new film. #4 is on now and failing.

I would try printing at the 42xy. It will give you a larger build area so it's not pushed into the borders like that.

Where does it fail? Any specific spot?

I will give that a try. Latest try stopped print after I saw it was failing.

Sometimes I'll run a large detailed piece fine then subsequent grows fail. Netfabb indicates errors. Just a thought.

I see some flashing around the bases. Large areas.

Have you checked your full rgb settings?

A little flashing can be ok, but you can control it by lowering your base exposure a bit.

Glad it's working for you now.
