Heated aluminum vat

Postby hx19035 » Thu Aug 04, 2016 2:55 pm

We want to start experimenting with a resin that requires a certain temperature to maintain viscosity. Does anyone have any ideas on if / how the aluminum vat can be heated?

Thanks!

I would play with some of these. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xflexable+heating+strip.TRS0&_nkw=flexable+heating+strip&_sacat=0 Some of the heating elements are embedded in silicone which would allow you to place it inside the basement with the resin. Some of them are adhesive cloth backed that you could stick to the basement frame.

I had an idea of piping the heat from the projector exhaust into the cover. But will be hard to control.

InkBird controller with some cartridge heaters or strips should work.

InkBird temperature controllers are less than $40.00 on Ebay
