Lines on models

Postby joeyalbano » Tue Jan 31, 2017 2:14 pm

Hi guys, I've been trying to take out these lines on my prints for a week now, can anybody tell me how to take this out? I checked my video card settings and projector settings, I even lubed the Z axis screw.

Make sure it's not electrical interference. I have seen electric heaters causing this type of things. Or strong motors close to the printer.

Thanks I do have a small fan next to the projector but wasn't turned on when i started this build. I changed the film and started it again and also unplugged the fan.

I suppose it is a film issue. Also it doesn't have to to be too tight. That is really a minor issue.

I run a USB fan that has an adapter for wall plug near my projector to keep the heat dissipated and don't have a problem.

Thanks but I think it's my projector, I saw this when I removed the lamp. Anybody know how to replace this inner lens?

I can't see anything wrong from that picture. That's just the color wheel stopped in that position.

About a month ago my projector lamp and inner lens literally blew up and had to order a refurb till I sent the old one for repair. The refurb works great, but when I received My old one it would give me those lines. I actually noticed that it would start out strong but the brightness would sometimes get dimmer some point through the build maybe causing those markings that is precisely 6mm apart. Is there a setting I missed?

Assuming that the lines are from being printed horizontally, at 6 mm between them, that is a lot of smaller layers in between that the brightness would be fine, but for a few layers, it freaks out, then goes back. Not impossible, but more than likely something more periodic and mechanical in nature.

Does it show up on all the items you print?
