In my experience, Platinum (Addition cure) rubber stuggles to set in contact with SolusProto resin, but Tin (Condensation cure) rubber is totally fine.

Heat Vulcanising moulds vary massively, so we just use resin masters to be safe.

heat your model for about 30 min at 200 degrees after curing.

When you do this proto works with all silicones I have tried ( both tin cure and platinum cure)

I had problems at first and I called my silicone supplier and that was their suggestion.

Youre basically burning off the fumes that the print is giving off.

I suspect that if time wasn't an issue, you could just cure your print and put it somewhere for a week or so and youll have the same effect.

Even after curing, when the print is fresh its giving off chemical fumes that react with the silicone but yea, heating your print seems to speed up the process.

It's called annealing. Long uv exposure should do the same but low heat can work too.

Thanks manakawari for pointing that out.
I have been using Lizard light to cure my models and have had no major issues with my casting and silicone molds.
I guess the heat from the lizard light dries and hardens the surface of the models so there is no reaction with casting investment or silicone.

Lizard light works great.

Hey guys,

That's great - thanks for letting me know. I'll run some tests.

200 degrees, I suppose that Farenheit, not celcius! :D
