Ups's

Postby Roman » Sat Oct 24, 2015 10:32 pm

Hi there thought I would ask if any of you use a ups in you setup, and if so what is a good one to go with. Im here in Fl and in my aera we suffer from power blips and some outages, and am wanting to make sure that the system can run for a bit if that were to happen.

Thank you very much for any assistance.

I've been using this for the past two years with my Solidscape with no issues.
It works well, as I have few breakers, and trip the circuit myself, when I am not careful and make coffee when I am also running the kiln. LOL

I think it depends on the current draw from what's plugged in.
I believe it's 15 minutes. Not hours.
It's my understanding these kinds of units are for power interruptions rather than outages.
It gives you time to safely save your work, like on a PC. Fortunately the Solidscape remembers where it left off in the event of a power outage.

The Solus is much faster, so if you lose a two hour print, it's not a big deal.
Prints jobs on a Solidscape can take days!

Anyone is free to correct me if I am wrong, or point to a product that is better

Also helps if you get a lot of thunderstorms. Will keep the printer running through those flickers and spikes. Spikes can kill machines.
