Creation Workshop Compatibility

Postby Wdshea » Thu Jan 07, 2016 12:51 am

we're currently running win7 for prints... considering upgrading to win8 or 10, but i was wondering if there is any info on Creation Workshop compatibility with which operating systems (including 64 bit)

or any other compatibility issues that may exist with hardware.

I strongly suggest Windows 8. Windows 10 is still too new and can be buggy.

do you have the display set correctly in CW? Are you using a HDMI cable?
go back through the Manual again to make sure you have everything set correctly. Make sure you are selecting the correct display and at the correct resolution.

Go to menu->preferences and check your foreground is set to white.

Also, check your administration privileges:

But this would likely cause it to not run, instead of crashing. Was there a recent graphics driver update?

hiya just bought machine and trying to set it up.... on windows 10. on a microsoft surface book. been very tricky so far with menus missing so had to install drivers to make them appear and go into registry to alter amounts to get the options to appear also.

done all that now and done the creation workshop but says the printer has stopped working so does nt even open the software ? anyone any ideas? I have nt even got it to do anything yet....

should the software run even without being connected to the machine?

thanks,

Are you just wanting to slice with CW? Should be able to run CW. Or run the projector and printer with a surface? Which surface do you have. You will need at least 8 gigs of memory. Does surface have HDMI connections? Check to see if the ports are set to never shut down. (control panel)

Have you extracted all the files or are you just downloading the .exe file? It needs all the .dll files and other files to open.
