The resin can be secondary cause if an improper cure of the model degrades the investment during investment gloss off and setting.

I think the biggest issue is the fact that more often than not, the text is right in the path of the metal as it rushes into the negative and erodes the edges or breaks off the cured investment damaging the fine detail and creating an imperfection somewhere on the surface or the interior of the piece. That is why they suggest keeping it as shallow as possible and not having hard edges on the text that protrudes into the negative space.

Yes. What Ron said. Also don't position the text right above the sprue. Move the sprue or move the text.

I agree with that. I have moved all my text away from the sprue and have made those shallower than at the early stages which seems to have helped a lot.

So my idea is to give the SolusCast a try for my next purchase. Can't wait to try it.

You do not have to sell me, I was sold when I was graciously given a sample earlier on in testing.

The detail was better than emerald or cherry. I will continue to use those on My B9, I will be ordering some SolusCast.
I know many of use have been looking forward to the release.
I can't wait to try it out.

I must say that I am really impressed with the support peeling and how easy it looks. Plus getting that small supports allows you to get into the crevasses where it is needed. That being said I am looking forward to ordering a bottle to try it out as soon as my green runs out.

Since B9 shipps out of San Diego, and the fact that I am in the Middle East adds a lot to the shipping cost. It actually could be very close in terms of price if I were to compare shipping cost in both B9 Green vs SolusCast as I am guessing the SolusCast would be shipped out of TW. Just an FYI to whoever is interested shipping the green goo comes at a hefty $65....bleh

Do we know a ballpark estimate of how many average rings can be printed per bottle of resin?

Average would be about 300-400 rings.

Once we ship the resin. Most likely by the end of the week.
